About the band
| | Debra Watkins Lead Vocals, Mandolin, Guitar
Debra's strong vocals give The Diamonds In The Rough their distinct sound. She is a passionate singer, delivering every note with energy and soul. Her voice, though all its own, could be described as a cross between Janis Joplin, Melissa Etheridge and Bonnie Raitt. You must hear her.

| | Paul Bass and sometimes Fiddle
Paul is a very talented musician who plays several instruments including...well, too many to list here. With the Diamonds In The Rough you will find him playing either upright bass or fiddle. Paul collects musical instruments, cars and fish. He owns both a small farm near Pemberville and a house in Toledo. He is rather busy, but always looks good in his hat.
|
| | Jerry Bass
Jerry is an outstanding bass player who plays with the Bridge County Bluegrass Band. We get the honor of borrowing him from time to time. Jerry also plays guitar, and has appeared on several CDs with Bridge County.
|
| | Carrie Fiddle
An award winning fiddler, Carrie started taking violin lessons when she was a mere 4 years old. Those who live in Northwest Ohio may recognize her from various fiddle contests held in the region. Carrie has recently moved out of state to take a teaching job in Colorado, and only plays with the group on special occasions. She was the band's first fiddler, and will always be a member of The Diamonds In The Rough.
